Derwent Tower, commonly known as the “Dunston Rocket,” was a 29-storey residential building located in Dunston, Tyne and Wear, United Kingdom. Its distinctive design earned it the “Dunston Rocket” nickname even before it officially received the title of Derwent Tower, a name that remained with locals throughout its existence. Though it has since been demolished, Derwent Tower endures as one of the region’s most iconic and memorable landmarks.
