Stephen Gibbs is an accomplished creative professional based in Gateshead, with over 20 years of experience as a Graphic Designer. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art (Sculpture) from Northumbria University and enjoys working across a variety of mediums. At the onset of the pandemic, Stephen transitioned to full-time freelancing, and now leads a successful design agency, providing creative content for global brands.
Stephen’s work has garnered significant recognition, including his contribution to AkzoNobel’s Awlgrip brand, which earned the IBEX 2019 Innovation Award. In addition, his design-led wallet brand, Boreal, was featured in Digital Arts Magazine as part of the ‘Starter for 10’ initiative by Wayne Hemingway. His art and fashion brand, Since1982, has also been highlighted in the Northeast magazine The Crack.
Originally from Washington, Tyne and Wear, Stephen has cherished childhood memories of visiting Saltwell Park in Gateshead with his grandparents. These experiences, along with his passion for history and culture, continue to inspire his creative work.
